And She Called Me Mellow Yellow

It’s beautiful today. I was actually sort of upset with myself for coming home after work, purely because it is so gorgeous. I went for a good, brisk walk anyway. But my poor ankles hurt. I don’t know why but they’ve been swelling again, and the pain I get in them when I walk too much is pretty crazy. I just make a nasty face and drive through it, though. No pain, no gain. I think I might go back out and walk the sea wall. I haven’t decided.Yes. I did it. I finally did it. I snapped. At one point during work today, the nails finally got to me just too much. I ripped every last one off of my fingers and then spent the next few minutes really enjoying my hands (gutter-brain… ). I have my mobility back. I plan to spend tonight unpacking my room in a very masculine fashion. There may be sweat involved. One observation I need to make about myself is that I noticed that my writer’s block seems to come and go in extreme. There are times when I literally can’t write at all. Then there are times when I try to write anyway and it’s all crap (trust me, anyone would think so) and then there are days like today, where if I wasn’t concentrating, words would come out of me like word-vomit. (Oh… lovely image…). Anyway, I am posting this in two places today, so if you frequent my facebook, my apologies.Ex-Factor
To remember
it fills me with sadness
To recall all of the rampant, manic madness
The heaviness of a broken heart
–the soul completely spent
But the longing is gone
No I wouldn’t revisit that life
I look forward now
Glancing back only to know what not to accept
My soul doesn’t pine — I am the winner
And I hope somehow you learn your lesson
You’ll get it back
You’ll get it back
She’ll dawn upon you like a heart attack
And I could almost thank you for unchaining me from you
For opening my eyes so I could see
Open mind
Open heart
Awaiting a brand new start
Open door
Clear blue skies
settling in this new life am I.

Take a breath
Don’t hurry
You have time
No need to rush, young one
you’ll be fine
Relax, lay back
Don’t push too hard
It seems unnecessary to fight
for battle scars
Let life happen to you a little
Let someone else do some fighting for you
(you’re worth the effort, too)
Chase a little, be chased a little
Reciprocation is key.
Desire, be desired.
Let love find you
–the real thing, not just whatever comes
Hunter and the hunted
Lover and the loved.
Reach for the stars — for you are made of stars.
Life will be full of joy and sorrow
joy is what to live for
give it, receive it
smile and believe it,
So calm down
Close your eyes
Put your mind at ease
Enjoy each bittersweet moment
of this life.

Eloquent enchantment
Captivated axioms
Spill words like honey from my lips
Temperant, prolific paragraphs
exude from you when you laugh.
Wading gently as a flower petal
skimming the countenance
of an endless sea of honesty
Treading softly, giving space
allowing time, time can’t misplace
Ever-changing, turbulent seas
will not be so intolerant for me
Graceful patience, I give to thee.

Clasping, clenching hands, entangled
gentle, trailing, tickling fingertips
Burning fire, pounding rain
over and over and over again.
Search for breath, gasp for air
soft, untamed, sweeping hair
Sweet, tender, powerful
to give, to get, to share.
Bare your soul, uncovered page
spirit but a written word
read what it says
Combining, completing thing
endless, transcendent ecstasy.
