Vacation-ey Goodness!

I just wanted to let you guys know what’s going on and junk.

So the day we got into Terrace there was a huge landslide that killed two people and completely shut down highway 16. So when we left we had to take the cranberry connector (a 3 hour detour). Because the connector isn’t paved we had to leave the trailer in Terrace and cut Saskatchewan completely out of our trip. We ended up just going to Edmonton. Anyway, because of the detour we had to stay in a motel in Prince George instead of driving straight through, and we hadn’t budgeted for a hotel so we stayed in some crappy rent-by-the-month hotel. We all got infected by a parasite and spent the rest of our vacation itchy everywhere.

We had a great time in Edmonton, but on the way back we decided to drive straight through, not realizing that they close highway 16 at night. We spent 7 hours sleeping, cramped together in the car, sweaty, itchy and cranky. We finally got back into town the next morning. Anyway, I have stuff to do. I may update again later, who knows. I must shower my parasite cream off. Yay.

  1. I hadn’t heard about the two people. I guess they got caught in the landslide?? Must go look at Terrace Standard web site.

Bad luck on your vacation, suckkkkk.

  2. Ick, what hotel is this? I go through prince george occasionly and it would be good to know to avoid this place.

    • I don’t remember the name. It’s right on the edge of town. It’s one of those cheapo rent by the month hotels. Anyway, it was just cheap, it didn’t LOOK dirty. Looks fool I tell you. They fool.
